Terms of Service

1. Who we are
GenerateInvoice ("the Service") is operated by [OPERATOR_NAME], [OPERATOR_ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). The Service provides software for generating invoices, receipts, quotes, and credit notes via a web dashboard and a REST API.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials and API keys confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys. Notify us immediately at support@generateinvoice.io if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to create fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful documents; to violate any applicable law; to probe or disrupt the Service; or to resell the Service without our written consent. We may suspend accounts that exceed reasonable usage or abuse rate limits.
4. Your content and documents
You retain all rights to the data you submit and the documents you generate. You grant us the limited right to process and store that data solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legal validity of the documents you create, including tax rates, tax regimes, and invoice numbering required by your jurisdiction.
5. Plans, trials, and billing
New accounts receive a 14-day Pro trial without payment details. After the trial, accounts move to the Free plan unless a paid plan is purchased. Paid plans renew monthly via Stripe and can be canceled anytime, effective at the end of the billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. Availability
The Service is provided "as is" without an availability guarantee. We work to keep the Service reliable but may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, and for slight negligence only where a material contractual obligation is breached — in that case limited to typical, foreseeable damage. We are not liable for the legal or tax correctness of documents you generate.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination we delete or anonymize your data within the periods described in the Privacy Policy, except where retention is legally required.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [OPERATOR_JURISDICTION]. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
